Friday Reception and Plenary Address: On Friday, September 14th, there will be an early evening reception at 5 pm and plenary address beginning at 5:45 pm, “A More Perfect Disunion: Governance, Regimen, and Bodily Constitution in the British Imaginary, from Chaucer to Orwell.” The plenary speaker is Prof. Matthew Giancarlo of the University of Kentucky.

Saturday Luncheon and Keynote Address: On Saturday, September 15th, there will be a luncheon at noon and the Arnstein paper award and Sack travel awards, and keynote address beginning at 12:45 pm . The keynote, titled “We Do Not Want Ugly and Trivial Memorials: The Arts and Crafts Movement and World War One Commemoration” will be presented by Prof. Carolyn Malone, Ball State University.

Lexington History Tour

Saturday evening 8PM  enjoy a tour of historic downtown lexington hosted by our History  graduate and current curator and assitant director of the Mary Todd Lincoln House, Dr. Jon Coleman. Free to all conference attendees (families and friends included) this walking tour highlights Lexington's history, architecture and occasionally scandalous past. Afterward, explore the nightlife in downtown. Shuttle provided.
